DD will be 2 very soon.
The usual thing in our small family is to have grandparents (she has three), aunt and uncle and small cousins (she has two) for cake and possibly tea time foods in the after work slot. All good and relaxed.
There was some pointing and laughing about the cake last year, not sure what the exact issue was. My mum has this year offered to make a cake, seeing as how I am "so terribly busy". I have said that's a lovely idea, that's how I roll.
But I've been goaded into action - what other ideas can I deploy to make the occasion a bit special?
