DS desperately wants a Moshi Monsters party for his upcoming birthday. Any good ideas for games/food etc? And how do I make a Moshi cake without having to loving craft the little buggers out of sugarpaste?

You can buy moshi monsters cakes (if you didnt want to make one) or you could use some of the plastic moshling figures to decorate a home made cake

I've just discussed with DD1, she suggests the following:

split party guests into groups and name each group after the moshi group names e.g. katsuma; diablo; luvi; zummer etc

then run team games (apparently quizzes are good!) where moshling tokens are earnt. the team that gets the most tokens wins the prize (or if like me, they get the first go at the lucky dip or treasure chest!)

you can buy moshi edible rice paper discs on ebay to top fairy cakes etc.

Apparently, moshi's eat bangers and mash (with bangers stuck in the mash!) and sludge (DD1 couldn't describe it well but I'd suggest blamange). They also eat chilli soup and something called green cube which was described exactly as that a green cube!

hope that's helpful.

she totally is! I have no idea why she enjoys moshi or club penguin but hey she probably doesn't understand why I like mumsnet.

you can just imagine the convos in our house..."mum's on mumsnet..again!"; "get off moshi..it's dinner time!"

let me know how it goes / what you do. I expect there may be a request for similar coming my way very soon.

Green cube = squares of jelly

Pin the eye/s on the Moshi?

Hi

Catwomanga your party looked great!

Just reviving this thread as my 6yr old DD has requested a Moshi Monsters party! Yikes. it's in two months so I have time to organise it.

There is plenty of Moshi merchandise out there, so its not a problem with getting decorations etc (Sainsburys stocks it now). The headache is what to do for entertainment!

I had been hoping to get someone in to do an activity with them e.g. a craft/jewellery/cooking party, but the Moshi request has scuppered that plan. I have a baby and a 4 yr old DS as well as DD, so its hard for me and DH to do both the entertainment and food. (At DS's party we had a Pirate which worked brilliantly and took a lot of stress out of it.) However I haven't seen many Moshi entertainers out there!

We are in Lewisham, London btw.

Anyone else done a Moshi party?
