Party on an inset day just before half-term?

So far DD's birthday has always fallen in spring half-term... so we usually wait till the weekend after school starts again to hold her party, as I think a lot of people might not be around.

This year, however, her birthday falls on the Thursday before half-term, with the Friday being an inset day. Do you think it's a good idea to hold her party on the Friday (inset day)? I'm just thinking about kids with working parents - would it be a PITA for them to arrange for their kids to be dropped off? Is a weekend better - even if means waiting till school starts? (I can't hold it the weekend before as we have MIL's 80th...)

Thanks! (She had a really low-key birthday last year poor thing as DD2 arrived early... so I really want her to have a lovely one this year!)

Should be ok so long as it's not golden jubilee street party day

Would be a PITA, probably, for working parents, but a few discrete enquiries might clarify. I'd plan for weekend after.
