4 Year Old's Party - When do you send out invitations?

Um that's it really - DS's party is at the end of May and I've just booked hall etc. Should I send out invites now, or will they get forgotten about? But if I wait maybe everyone will be busy?

I know there are probably more important things to worry about (will be moving on to them soon!) but what is the generally accepted best time to send out invites?

A week or so before. I would have mentioned dates to his/your close friends before booking to make sure they are available. But otherwize people will just forget about it.

I'd give at least 2 weeks notice (maybe even 3) as that will give you time to chase up those that havent replied

3 weeks before, and give a deadline of replies by the week before (hollow laugh) which gives you time to chase up non respondents.

I agree with 3 weeks. I would give more notice if the party is to take place over a school holiday.

Thanks very much, I will use the 3 week plan.
