4 year old birthday party

I am doing a party for my 4 year old this year, it will be a bouncy castle at our local sports hall. How long in advance should I issue the invites? I am thinking probably 2 -3 weeks?

I will probably invite everyone who he goes to pre-school with but as we don't know any of the children that well (in that he only sees them at pre-school) do you think they will be likely to come? I feel a bit nervous about it in case nobody turns up :)

I would say 3 weeks, much more any you risk people forgetting, less and they might be busy. Any special friends I give warning of the date when I book the place. Most parents will make the effort unless they are busy, you will probably get around 60-70 percent. You could ask the nursery if anyone else has a birthday at the same weeks to make sure you don't clash.

Thanks bunnies, I'll go with the 3 weeks as you suggested. Hope we get a good response!
