I had been thinking 1130-1330, but this isn't particularly convenient for the bouncy castle provider (friend of friend), so, 1-3, 2-4, or 3-5?

DS will be 5, there will be up to 28 children aged 4-8 (plus his 2yo sis & friend).

Bouncy castle, games & food planned.

Quite a few reception parties this year have been 2:30-4:30, which seems to work quite well. Long enough after lunch so it isn't a rush, but they don't get too hungry and if they are going to eat at home they have still got a bit of time for the junk to go down.

I would do 2-4 and look to feed them around 3.15 ish

if people are organising lunch for siblings etc it fits well, and home in plenty of time for family evening meal

Afternoon is better - lots of people have ballet/ swimming/ football etc on Saturday mornings.

Any of those times would be ok but 2-4 would be my preference.

Thanks

Grockle hadn't thought of that, so very glad you mentioned it!

Think 230-430 sounds good - long enough after lunch, but not so late that bedtime turns into a nightmare.

I would do 3-5, get them tired out, give them their tea and then they can be ready for pyjamas and bed when they get home and need to crash from the sugar.
