fairy parties

I am doing two fairy parties and am looking to shamelessly steal any ideas!

First one is for dd who will be 7. We are decorating fairy houses, making fairy shrinkies, and pipe cleaner fairies. Going to also play pass the magic parcel with forfeits, draw a fairy (beetle game with fairies), disco dancing, what's the time mr goblin. Food is mini pizzas which they can customise (muffins), mini saus, mini sausage rolls, cherry toms, mini jacket potatoes, rainbow fairy cakes. Am planning to say they can come for 3 hrs as is only 3 friends and not sure how long craft will last, can always send them upstairs to play if bored. Any more suggestions for games or food?

Second party for dd2 who will be 5. Having about 15 children plus our children and a friend for dd1. Will be boys and girls so calling it a woodland fairy, elf and goblin party(or something snappier if anyone can suggest it).

So far plan for that is decorating fairy/bug houses - but simpler craft than for dd1, these will become 'party bags', pass magic parcel, musical mushrooms (like musical chairs), horse race relay, fairy godmother says, musical statues (when humans come); what's the time mr goblin. Food as above. I have a parachute was thinking of using, but need ideas to make it a fairy/ woodland game.

I have the hall from 2-6; not sure whether to have an hour either side, or just half an hour before and longer to tidy up. So again, suggestions please for food, spare themed party games, especially ideas for fairy/goblin parachute game and when to position it re timing. Thanks. Oh forget to say more generic/rainbow fairies than tinkerbell etc.

Oh of course not mad enough to get 15 4+5yr olds to deccorate pizzas, will do sandwiches for them instead.

DD is 6 but is already planning her 7th party (another 8 months or so to go Grin).

It is going to be a fairy party I have been told and there is going to be a treasure hunt. Am hoping someone will be more inspired than I am to know how it will work Grin. I think she has also mentioned an idea of having pictures of different fairies (she has a love for Rainbow Magic books) cut up and then you find your own one. Given the amount of names of Rainbow Magic fairies there probably are ones for all of her friends.

Apart from that I'm not sure what will happen but at least I do have time to plan Smile

Have a look at Inspired Parties. As well as buying stuff from there (which I've done), it gives some really lovely ideas for games, 'setting the scene' and so on. Hope you enjoy planning and doing the party! Smile
