I have no idea where to start. Will the church numbers be in yellow pages????

We need to speak to a vicar about the sort of thing we want, not sure if it's a full on christning.

I was hoping for around Aug time - is it to early to plan now?

is there a church local to you? could you go to "vestry hour" or whatever that vicar may do so you can speak to him direct?

We are only just now arranging Rebecca's christening and it is hopefully going to be on the 12th Feb! We are lucky in that my brother ans SIL both attend the church i want it held at and i used to go there before i got married and moved away.

Hope you get some better info soon!

Some churches are listed in yellow pages, but not all. Your local church has probably got a board outside with a contact number. As you're not churchgoers (I assume) then i suggest you start with your nearest Church of England, as you probably live in the parish and they should be happy to baptise/christen your baby, although they may ask you to attend church services, and/or some kind of preparation. You need to speak to them because they all do things a bit differently!

I don't think it's too early to make initial enquiries. Again, some churches plan more than others!
