Kids party food.....Pizza?

Just sorting out the party food for lo's party and as it is getting cold, thought I would order in pizza's and do veggies with dips to go with it it, rather then the traditional sandwiches.

I'm also doing fresh fruit platters along with biscuits and chocolate bits and bobs, so the food is not too junky for them to eat.

Does this sound ok, or would you not want your child to eat pizza at a party?

Depends. I wouldn't like Domino's etc., with their plastic meat.

Could you do a big homemade pizza? you could then do a rectangle one, it'd be easier to cut into sections, you could do a homemade sauce and put peppers and pineapple on it to make it a bit healthy. And naice ham. Also depends on the age of the children?

They're supposed to eat junk at parties. Does it matter if it is cold junk or hot junk? Really?

I'm doing takeaway pizza for my daughter's party later on in the month.

They ate takeaway pizza at a party they went to a few weeks ago.

I don't mind them eating margharita pizza, but I don't like them eating crappy sausages because you don't know what has gone into that stuff.

As Stealth says, part of the enjoyment of parties is the junk food.

I'm not holding the party at home, so won't have facilities to heat and cook. If I did anything home made I would have to serve it cold, so it would defeat the objective of giving them something hot, hence why the pizza delivery.

I can see that most expect some junk, so maybe I'd be able to get away with it.

Anyone who objects to you - very generously - serving their child pizza at a f*ing children's birthday party shoud be pointed out and laughed at. I say that as someone who would never in a million years order Domino's. If you did, I would not think anything of it. Other than 'thanks'.

Where I live, there isn't a party that DOESN'T order in pizza! I was really judgemental about it at first. The first party we held here, I lovingly provided Annabel Karmel style party food and GUESS WHAT?! Nobody ate it!

I now serve pizza. And Wine for the grown ups Wink
