We're hosting new year. 12 adults, the same of kids aged 3 - 14. I am hoping to get the littlies to sleep before the party starts and the older kids stuck in front of DVDs in the playroom. That's the plan anyway....
So assuming we can have a relatively grown up evening, I am now trying to figure out what to do. We can't do a sit down meal as the table isn't big enough. So it will have to be a buffet or finger food. And then I'm thinking do we do it themed to something, to we make it fancy dress (our friends quite like fancy dress). But I'm not really feeling very inspired.
Please hit me with your best ideas as to what would be fun. I like cooking and don't mind putting effort in but don't want to spend all night in the kitchen.
