Dd is 1 at early Dec. I can't wait. I will do it at home and expect about 14 max (dear Heavens) babies plus a parent each. I've been to a couple where we had cake, party bag and buffet which is what I'll probably do as I don't know what else I could do....

Do u know any good party bag tips for 1's?
Good buffet ideas for this age?
A decent cd to play?
General tips?
Anything to avoid???

Looking forward to some great ideas, thanks all! :0)

If you do a party don't plan too much at that age as they just don't get it. I would say toys, food, maybe pass the parcel with mini packet raisins in every layer.

For ours we had a joint NCT party in a hall with just the parents + babies, then did our own thing on her actual birthday, which we have done for all three of them. We go to the aquarium (or for ds went to chessington which has sea life included, and the girls were a bit older so enjoyed the animals and rides too). It is a perfect age for it, and at that age they don't really like it when you are busy hosting rather than being with them. Our big parties start at 4 by which time they really enjoy it.
