40th birthday in a barn/shed! Decor ideas please!

My friend is having her 40th in a very unfancy, basic barn! Her DH has just called me in a bit of a panic about decor. I said bunting, fairy lights, tealights in jars and he's going to buy about 10 ELD lanterns to hang from ceiling. Any other ideas?

For decoration I would find some large rustic platters and place red apples in them
Cow parsley in large jugs/milk pails
Use old linen sheets or hessian as tablecloth for main food table
Use mismatched china plates/cups/saucers
