Help I need to organise a party for a 2 year old!

This is my first post - and I need help! My little boy is 2 in 3 weeks time and I haven't done anything about his party! At the moment I think I have two options. Firstly I could hire the local leisure centre and have a bouncy castle/soft play area and then a little birthday tea afterwards - he went to one of these a couple of weeks ago and he enjoyed it, but there were more toddlers there than I think he knows! Or I could do it at home in my back garden - and hire a bouncy castle. I've been trying to look up soft play hire but it's all so expensive - what else could I have for 2 year olds? And what do I do if it rains!

There will probably be about 10 2 year olds, and maybe a few older siblings could come - anywhere between 5 and 8 mostly. And if I do it at home should I cater for parents too?

Any thoughts or ideas welcome - I'm really conscious I need to get on with organising it!

He's 2! He'll have more fun at home in the garden with granny and cake!
