DD turns 5 a week after The Big Day. She wants a Royal Wedding themed party.

Was thinking of getting paper crowns from Yellow Moon, and asking all to come in prince/princess fancy dress.

Will get bunting, union jack plates etc etc, cake can be a wedding cake, but what can I actually DO with them?

Sounds fab!

Turn chairs into thrones - musical thrones.

Musical bumps - but in boy girl pairs - like a first dance

Dancing competition - again girl boy pairs like first dance

I will keep thinking

Ooh it's a lovely idea!

How about a little quiz - could show them a five minute clip of wedding and then ask some questions - what is Kate's middle name, what colour the Queen's hat etc.

Pass the parcel with a wedding souvenir as prize.

Do you know the game "Corners"? Do that with a picture of a royal in each corner.

"bride and groom" hunt - like Easter eggs but hide little photos of wills and kate -could be done individually or in teams.

You could have some kind of related craft - make a union jack etc.

Enjoy!

You could decorate cupcakes for 'Wedding Cakes'

Could you do a Wedding version of Captain's Coming?
If you shout bow, they all bow, curtsey they curtsey, propose they all have to get down on one knee etc. Eiher for fun or the last one to do it is out.

Find the ring - hide a ring (make one from cardboard)and hide it somewhere in the room for them all to find. Either hide 1 and the first person to find it wins, or enough for each child to find one.

Oh, and can I come? Sounds great Grin
