Girls 6th birthday Party - Major panic

Hi - would really appreciate some advice. My DD is having her 6th birthday party at home this weekend. About 16 children are coming and the entertainer has cancelled on us! My DH says not to panic and that we will just do games ourselves. Can anyone suggest suitable games etc which would go down well with 5-6 year old girls and boys?

I bought a book from Amazon on party games, it was only £4 and worth its weight in gold.

The best thing we did was a treasure hunt. You can do it photos (close up of handles, under the slide, by the tree etc) It took them ages to work it all out and they loved it, sweeties at the end of course as treasure.
