I'm not talking fantasy ones - no ipads or keys to a ferrari - but when you take your children home from a party, what things in party bags make your heart sink and what things do you think are really great?

I think its sweet Blush Like a thank you for coming etc...

Books were not ££ BTW...

By the time you add up what has been spent on party bags, you may as well buy a book Grin

Wish we'd had Poundland in my previous mummy life!!

Party bags should cost no more than £1 each, IMO.

Home made reusable bag, book and cake

The best party bag my DD got was an easter egg (birthday in March)

Is it supposed to appeal to me? Cuz I'd like a mini bottle of vodka and some dark Belgian chocolates.

not doing party bags this year. just sending children home with slice of cake and a balloon, other wise I'd have 30 plus balloons used to decorate the village hall to dispose of.

-piece of birthday cake
-balloon

  • pencil/rubber/mini notepad type things
-bubbles -chocolate or sweets

Don't like little plastic toys that break after about 5 seconds of said party finishing, or maybe that's just my two that do that! Grin
