My 40th Birthday Party ideas for a party at home

Has anyone got any ideas? I want to have a party at home on a Saturday night. I want soemthing a bit different to a plain house party. My husband suggested a casino party - I'm not sure I like the idea, we'll probably have about 50-70 guests. Any suggestions?

50-70 guests at your house? Wow. I'd hire a venue for that many people - logistically, unless you have a huge house with a sweeping drive, how would they park, the queue for the loo etc. Not to mention the clearing up afterwards!
I'd go for a Hollywood glamour/James Bond theme if you want to dress up.
