Present Ettiquette for joint birthdays?

DS(2) has been invited to a joint birthday party, there are 3 birthday children. We only know 1 of the birthday children. Am I expected to buy a present for each birthday child or just the one I know?

No I'd only buy a present for the child who gave you the invitation.

My ds is having a joint party soon and I'd be really embarrassed if some children we didn't even know bought him presents
