long story long
DS has been invited to the birthday party of a boy on the street we live on... DS plays with the party boy (and often they fight as the Boy and his sister have no manners)but does not want to go to the party..
I don't want to force him to go ...and he is quite adamant that he will not go. Luckily he has an invite to a sleepover at another friends
and that he does not want said Boy to his own Unbirthday Pizza night... (he didnt want a party just to go get pizza with 3 closest friends (all girls but thats a story for another day) but as we cant get everyone to Pizza Express DH and DS are going to collect some pizzas from Costco while I bake cupcakes).. ( long story longer we will be in the USA for his actual birthday with my parents)
now my question is... or rather the argument is that I said we should send the Party Boy a card and that is enough.. but DH says we need to send a present... but as DS isn't going to the party I dont think we need to shell out for a gift... or do we? to be neighbourly as DH says... I dont' expect a gift from them for DS who is only having pizza, pudding and a dvd.
