I have just learned that there will be no cooking facilities available at my party venue other than 2 microwave ovens!

What can I serve? I will be catering for around 30 adults and kids and want to keep it as simple as possible.

Any advice from the wise?

Sandwiches
cocktail sausages
biscuits
crisps
carrot sticks if you must

A cake

Basically, a simple party tea. That's what most people expect.

I don't expect hot food at a kids party. Depending on age, but I would do pretty much the above, but I always do vegetarian so I don't have to police small children who don't eat meat. And I don't bother with the carrot sticks but sometimes put grapes out. And prob some fairy cakes too.

I don't tend to cook at my kids parties and if you're at a venue you just want to take it all ready to plate.

I'd do the same as pointydog plus marsbar crispies, tophats, maybe sausage rolls, maybe babybell, mine like the fruit shaped sucky yogurts and I like to do lots of fruit - grapes, strawberries and blueberries go down best.

Probably cupcakes too.

Crisps and crudites and dips for the grown ups.

I love party food!

why are you worrying? what were you planing on cooking? you don't want to be stuck in the kitchen do you?

just prep everything at home on big trays,

sandwiches, crisps, sausages, then little cakes. easy peasy. do plenty and the adults will hoover up the leftovers.

I was planning on doing a pizza party so the news derailed me a bit - thanks for the advice, it has calmed me down!!

Hot dogs - sure you can do them in a microwave
Serve with bread rolls, ketchup and some salad stuff

You could always get Dominoes to deliver? I've done that successfully to a back garden kids party and it was a big success. You can usually get a BOGOF code online.

Hotdogs is a great idea too and my brood would love that.
