I'm hosting my first Halloween party (actually my 1st of any descriptionShock) so hoping all you experienced party givers can give me help.

There'll be about 12 adults and 20 children (various ages but mainly 2, 5 & 7yr olds) so we'll need to entertain the kiddies somehow, provide food & copious amounts a few drinks plus decorate the house. Oh and I really don't want to spend a fortune Grin

Any suggestions?

do a quick visit to all the local supermarkets.
All of their freebie magazines have loads of party friendly recipe's in them.

some are really excellent.

Get a couple of great halloween films for the kids to wacth while eating halloween-themed food.

Gets them out of your hair for a bit and it's fun.

What's the age range of the kids? Have you got space for them to watch a film?

One of the things I made last halloween were pastry pizzas, called them bloodshot eyeballs. V simple, v cheap and the kids in particular loved them.

I'm liking the pumpkin bowling. Going to try that.

Making Mummies. Two teams, one child gets wrapped in toilet roll, like a Mummy.

Apple bobbing.

Big plate of flour, sweets hidden in it. Children have to get sweets with their teeth - ok not very hygenic, but they'll live!
