Original ideas for 40th wedding anniversary

Hello - it's my parents anniversary this coming weekend and they are having a big party. I'm trying to think of a suitable gift and possibly a funny but memorable thing to do as part of the dinner. Any ideas?!

for my friend's wedding the bestman put some very old photographs onto the computer and produced a slide show of the grooms life from beginning to end which was very funny, embarrasing and told a story or two along the way. you could perhaps do something similar, perhaps if not a speech just a slide show of them "growing old together".
