My ds will be 1 on halloween! We weren't planning on having a party as hes too young to appreciate it or play games but we want to do something to mark the occasion. The family will all want to come down to visit (there are a lot of them) and we have a lot of friends where we live but our flat is tiny and feels crowded with only a few people here! Anyone have ideas about what to do?

Have a day out, we had a party for dd when she was 1 and hired a very cheap soft playroom at the local leisure centre but I wish I hadn't bothered as it was too much hassle for a party she won't remember/didn't care about having. (Hassle = organising food/party bags/activities to suit the age ranges of cousins etc)

For her second birthday we are going to have a day out to the zoo or something with close family and then maybe cake and a drink back at home but I have learnt my lesson from last year. Enjoy it whatever you do.
