... for when you have a group of people together round a table, perhaps in a work or social environment, when they don't really know each other and want to break the ice less formally than introducing yourselves.... prompted by a couple of things coming up and watching come dine with me where someone asked "who would play you in a film of your life"........ which actually I thought was better than the usual. Just got me thinking, what are the coolest ice breakers for when the conversation doesn't just flow naturally?

two truths and a lie game

that rings some (very old!) bells AFK - how does that work?

each person says three things about themselves, two are true and one is not - the others have to guess which is which.

Even when you play it with people you know, you find out very interesting things about people.

What did you want to be when you were a child?
If you could choose your dream/fantasy job now, what would it be?

You could also play ' shag, marry, cliff' but it might be a bit risqué!

two truths and a lie is a good one - could be very "straight" or risque - depending on the group. Perfect. Littledawley, more good ideas - "shag, marry, cliff" won't go down well at my works do, but can think of occasions where it would work. Then again, might liven up the works do!!!!!!! You're both on exactly the right track. Just wanted something more original than "if you were an animal, what would you be" - dull - would welcome any other ideas too (lots going on in next few weeks so the more the merrier!)

Thanks!!
