I'm organising a party for DD and we're going to Pizza Express to have a make your own pizza party. I'm struggling to think of a some cheap but nice ideas for a party bag for 15 children, I was thinking of putting in a recipe to make pizza as all the kids love it when they come round to ours and make Pizza but can't think of anything else....

Any ideas?

Yes, was going to suggest printing out an easy recipe

A few other possibilities:

  • a plastic cookie cutter (can buy them in bulk and separate)
  • mini wooden spoons (again can be bought in bulk on childrens craft sites)
  • if you have time you could create a chef's hat for each child with their name on it method here! YOu just need cardboard and I used white crepe paper.
  • I have done this for a school event and the first one took about 40 mins but thereafter I was turning them out at a rate of one per 15 mins
  • (If you wanted, chef's hat turned upside down filled with a few sweets could become party bag)
  • You can also buy children's chefs hats on line fairly cheaply
  • Or you could make a placemat for each child - again time dependent - use cardboard - decorate with any bits of coloured paper - add their names and laminate
  • Or use plastic cereal bowls and spoons or mugs or plastic cups for party bags itself covered in cellophane with sweets inside
  • Or perhaps make mini pots of jam
  • Or make gingerbread man for each child and wrap in cellophane?
  • Or a labelled jam jar for each child with a layered dry cookie ingredients in it plus recipe and instructions to add milk and bake etc - could attach cutter to neck of jar (see Christmas thread) again VERY time consuming

Don't know if these are any good?

How about a packet of pizza base mix, and a jar with some olives and sundried toms in?
