Every year we hold a fundraising 'fancy dress' disco and we need a fantastic idea for next year Hmm

It needs to be something that people can 'join in' at different levels...so if it were, say, pirates, you could wear an eyepatch or a full outfit complete with parrot on shoulder Grin

Amaze me with your fantastic ideas and experiences....

ach, I know they are tacky but seriously? Does no-one have any suggestions?

Bumping for the 'stealing a moment whilst making dinner' crowd Wink

Could you do a letter so everyone has to come as something begining with the letter 'S' for instance?

Or what i did last year as i have a very anal shy family who dont like looking like prats was just ask them to come sporting interesting head gear, we had lots of Christmassy Deely-Boppers and a few Santa Hats, a few people had elaborate Crowns and face masks, it was a laugh and for the people who didnt feel they wanted to go the whoe hog they jusy wore a part hat/crown type thing.

Last year we had an International themed fancy dress party which encompasses more than you think, there was everyhting from the full-on costumes eg Spanish Senorita to just a beret and stripey t-shirt or wearing a baseball cap for USA.

What about the hirsute pursuit: wear any outfit but wear a moustache and/or wig of your choice

A moustache can certainly bring out the inner chap in most men. Marvellous.

More avant garde women may opt for a Dali-esc tache, or perhaps the oriental look ... or the the Sporticus stylee.

More reserved guest can just don a wig - and still look fabulous dahling.

Not so much fun maybe, but a 'black and white' theme can be a good one.
Went to a friend's 30th where she asked everyone to wear black and white and it looked so effective.
