A Japanese style baby shower - come brainstorm with me!

I know some people can be a bit sniffy about baby showers, but, well, we are not living in UK and it IS the norm here and a good friend of mine is having a baby soon so I am throwing her a shower. She will be thrilled.

She is not Japanese, but loves all things Japanese and far eastern.

I thought I would do a red theme (she is having a girl but is not a fan of pink or powder blue).

Do you have any good ideas for the...
Invitations (which will be sent by email)?
Decorations?
Games?
Anything else?

We'll do Japanese food and a red velvet cake.

Any thoughts?

I am particularly having trouble making an invitation that doesn't look like someone ate too much clipart and then threw up all over the computer.
