My son will be 8 in Oct. He usually has home parties although has had a McDonald's party in the past (which he hated). He is in no way sporty and doesn't have any 'typical' boy interests - last year he invited 10 girls to ours for party games and lunch.

Can anyone think of a good alternative to a home party that he might enjoy?? Money isnt a problem.

Thanks

Ds's 8th was here. Very successful. Dd had her 6th here (unfortunately no pictures) , there were children from 2 - 8, boys and girls, sporty and non-sporty, and, again, very successful. I have never had such a quiet party meal - they were all knackered!

My dc have also been to Pizza Express parties where they get to physically make their own pizzas. Doen't sound much to me, but apparently good fun.

If you can face it, a sleepover for about 6 boys? DVDs, make own popcorn, stay up way too late?

Painting at a pottery cafe?

Special outing with a few friends rather than big party? Cinema? Theatre? Boat trip?

Thanks for the idea's !! I think i might go with the special day out with less kids. He wouldn't want boys to stay over only girls ...not sure how the other parents would feel about it (i dont know any of them too well) especially as i have a 19 yr old son as well.
