Hi, does anyone have any recommendations for great party entertainers for a five-year-old boy's party in Richmond, Surrey? This is the first time I have arranged a party like this and my son is determined that his 'big' party is going to be the best party ever! Also, could anyone advise me on what sort of costs I can expect to pay???

i had smartie artie for my dd's 5th birthday party in twickenham. we had the whole class - 15 boys and 15 girls. he was fantastic
cost was £210 (2 hours) plus cost of hall

Action Station storytellers are great. I saw them recommended by several people on here so used them for DS's 5th birthday, and some of his friends have used them subsequently -- always very good.

IIRC they are £100 for one hour doing just the storytelling and £200 for two hours running the whole party so that you can just sit back and put out the food.

(ah, have just looked at website and now £150 for one hour or £200 for two)

Smartie Artie is good too, though -- I've seen him at some fourth birthday parties.

Try Gilbert Giggles
Not sure when the party is, but he is really good so gets booked up fast.

Entertainers are pretty expensive, you should expect to pay anywhere between £150 - £250 for a two hour party Shock

Then you have venue hire to think about - church halls are usually the least expensive.
Where abouts in Richmond are you looking to have the party?

Jelly Kelly did ds1's 5th birthday party 2 years ago, and I've seen her a few times now - she's amazing!

Also Crazy Hazy is good too.

Thanks so much everyone for responding. I booked Jelly Kelly today. I am paying £135 for one hour which should be enough for little ones I hope. Have also booked local church hall for £75. Catering down to me hmm.
