Has anyone been to the butterflies, bugs & beasties event at Kew? I am trying to work out something to do for an about-to-be-four year old girl's birthday. She loves little creatures and would in principle really enjoy this, I reckon.
DH not convinced. He favours ice skating, which sounds to me like a car crash in waiting, so we'd both welcome the advice of mumsnetters who have been (to either, actually). We have the birthday girl plus one or two mates (one aged 4, one 3), little sister aged 2 and mummy is nursing a baby so not many hands to spare.
We live about an hour south of Kew and don't want to go further into London than that.
