Where wil I get rubber moulds to make models out of plaster of paris??

I used to have lots of these when I was younger & used to spend hours paintng them but can't seem to find any now.

My Dd is having her 7th Birthday party in the garden this week end & I thought that would be a nice activity for them. I would make the models beforehand & they could paint them.

Anyone got any ideas on any oter crafty type things to do? I looked at the build a bear thing but thought it was quite pricey for what it was. I'm now getting a bit desperate for ideas

i thought the build a bear thing was too much so i have ordered them a plain white hat each from Baker ross and all the bits to decorate them and some fabric pens. Hats are only 1.50 each and the bits to decorate them arent much

I am not sure if they do the rubber moulds any more - there is a brand called Shaker Maker now which is basically the same thing. You get 2 moulds in a box with enough plaster of paris and paint to do 1 model from each mould. Have a look on ebay as the moulds and refills are less expensive there!

I'm sniggering at "there is a brand called shaker Akers now" as Shaker Maker was around 30 years ago. I never got one [sulk]

i put Shaker Maker on my Christmas list every year and never got one. [weep]

they always used to be Beatrix Potter when I was small ... a lot of them now seem quite girly. I just missed a scooby doo set on ebay that I wanted for ds' stocking .. it went for 99p .. grrrrrr
