Has anyone tried "Go Ape" in Bracknell?

Hi, just wondered if anyone had tried Go Ape in Bracknell? I have a 13 year old DS who has 2 friends he wants to take there and it will just be me and one other adult - sounds great, but am just a bit worried because I thought there would be instructors at each section but it sounds like you have a 30 min briefing and are then let loose!! Are the harnesses and gear very complicated? I am such a hopelessly impractical person and am worried that I won't get it right!!!! Bet you're glad it's not your children coming with me!!! No seriously, I am probably over-cautious if anything..... any advice/experiences welcome! Thanks.

By the way, the other adult is my sister, who is equally impractical....

No but I've been to Go Ape in Thetford Forest and it is fantastic. Loads of fun. The instructions are pretty much 'stay clipped in'. It's not difficult, and during the first session you get to practice using every part of the equipment. If you get confused or stuck I think you can just shout and someone will appear, but I've not seen it happen.

I think most 13 yr olds would not need supervision really - legally you have to, of course, but they will be fine doing it all by themselves.

Thanks, Trillian, sounds great!

Have seen the one (not got to go on it yet) at Bedgebury in Kent. It looks fab and I would like to have a go at some point event though I am also not the world's most athletic person! Lots of the adults on it look pretty clueless and seem to survive

have been on it. You get clipped on and that's about it!! there are easy routes and harder routes but I managed all the harder bits without too much trouble. There are 3 or 4 sections and you can choose to stop and walk back if you want to.
The 13 year olds would also be fine on their own I think with you watching from the ground but it's quite good fun doing it!
