DD 18 wants to get the contraceptive implant

She is at uni in Liverpool and not registered with a GP there. She is still registered here at home as we thought it would be easier. However can she get the implant if she attends a sexual health clinic in Liverpool even though she is not registered with a local GP there? She seems to think she can't but I thought it was a free service and that she could even walk in to some of them without an appointment and get one?

Anyone know or have an experience of this/done this?

Yes she can go to a sexual health clinic that offers contraceptive services. There will be no connection to her GP.

Thank you, I did think this was the case but she seemed quite adamant that she couldn't use the service where she was because she is not registered with a local GP.
