My son is 18 never saw his dad for over 8 years. But his dad died 2023 but wasn't told untill last year. Can I change his surname ? To same as mine and my older 2 kids last name so we are all the same.

I think as he is 18 and therefore legally an adult, it would be his decision, and he would have to be the one making the applications etc
