My DS[21] has passed his driving test today [6th attempt) I've just picked him up from work (shift worker) and given him my car. He's driven off ...first time on his own...I'm bricking it. I'll prob be bald by tomorrow! And never sleep again! God help me I'm a nervous wreck lol

Oh op it is hard but my Mum always told me never look for trouble to trouble looks for you. Try not to worry. My DD passed her test recently and you do get used to them being out and about in the car.

Thanks. I'll be fine after he's driven for a while....prob about 5years lol. He's sensible enough and it's took him that long to get his licence i honestly don't think he'll drive like a dick...fingers xd

My daughter passed this year, and her regular short journeys I'm comfortable with, anything unfamiliar and I'm on edge until she's home. She's generally sensible, but driving is the riskiest thing most of us do on a regular basis. She has her own car, but as its 12 years old, doesn't have the safety features of a more modern car, or feel particularly robust, but it was all we could afford.

It's not the car I worry about, mines 10 year old,it's the other idiots on the road etc. I'll be fine and I'm sure he will too but you never stop worrying do you lol.
