Birthday and Christmas presents

My daughter has cut contact with us and all relatives and we don't know why. She has MH issues. We have tried contacting her but don't get replies. We have sent grandchildren birthday and Christmas presents but don't know if they get them. We have sent her presents too. What should we do in future? Don't want our grandchildren to miss out on presents but don't want to send them if they are just binned. She is single mum on benefits. Any advice welcome.

Should have said that we had a close relationship with the grandchildren and helped out our daughter a lot in terms of childcare, money and emotional support. We paid off her mortage as she said having one made her suicidal. We don't know why she suddenly fell out with us other than we are now older and we think she feels that we are of limited use to her now. She cut contact with her sisters as well and her children's father, again without them knowing why. With all of us she just stopped answering messages and calls.
Children seem happy enough from what school says but their standard of work has fallen significantly since she broke contact with their dad and us - they both were above age in reading for example and are noe 2 years below.
She has now got paid PAs to help her and PIP and DLA for her children who have adhd so she is no longer as in need of financial support from us.
Children's father is in contact with school but apart from that we have nothing else.
We had the 2 children and daughter living with us when they were small as she couldn't cope and saw them at least twice a week after she got her own house, sometimes 6 times a week but now nothing. We did the school run both ways 5 days a week because she felt too tired. She is SAHM. We want our grandchildren to know that they are still loved hence the presents but we think they might not get them .

Gosh this is very sad, I'm so sorry 😞 How cruel of your dd to cut contact like that after all you've done for her. She really isn't putting her dcs needs first. They must be so confused. If she has MH issues it could have been something small that set her off. I really hope she comes round soon and you get to see your dgc again 💐

No idea whether you should still send presents or not, I would suspect that your DGC don't receive them but none of us know for sure.

It must be such a heartbreaking situation for you Flowers
