Hi I am a 27 year old. I’ve been in a steady relationship with my boyf who is 31. We are planning a future together. We split our time between our families, probably if im honest, more time at mine than his.

my mum is a single parent. She makes me feel guilty for going out with his family.
is this normal ? Should I be feeling this way?

I know how much my mum has given up for me and my sister, through thick and thin, and me sow idk a few hours away from home does not takeaway from this ? Am I being silly?

No, I think as long as you’re splitting your time fairly then it’s a problem your mum has with letting you go! She’s had you to herself forever, it’s hard on her. But you’re doing nothing wrong, so don’t feel guilty, she’ll get used to it. She should be happy that you’re happy and making a good independent life for yourself
