Do you eat together?

If you have adult children at home do you still all eat together? Who cooks?

How do you navigate this?

I've always cooked but the DC can cook and we've always eaten together. In fact I chose the house because it had a kitchen/dined and I wanted us to sit down and eat together.

I don't always cook though. Last night I had to go and pick up an urgent prescription so DS(19) cooked.

Tonight they've all had pizza and ice cooked myself some pasta so I'm not cooking for everyone every night.

I have an 18 and a 15 year old. We eat most evening and weekend meals together. Either myself or my 15 year old do the cooking.

Son has boomeranged home after graduating. I do most of the cooking, he eats with us, but he cooks for all of us when mutually convenient - I'm home from work earlier so usually it is easier for me to do so. He often cooks special meals. Daughter away during term time, but when home eats with us and cooks at least twice a week.

Both DC will cook for themselves on the odd occasion family mealtime does not work for them. They check if any ingredients are for a specific dish, or replace if necessary. DD often bakes when she is home, and frequently cooks brunch for whoever is WFH
