NC for this.

Ongoing nearly no contact over the last three years.

My DH and his son are at stalemate.
Step son has had alcohol problems, a broken marriage and a quick re-marriage, including another baby. He has lied and behaved really badly.

He owed a large amount of money, due to his behaviours, to spending on alcohol rather than budgeting and end through the end of his marriage.

DH bailed him out. DSS started to repay a small amount of money, monthly for about 4 months, then stopped.

They started to meet informally, just the two of them, to try and give the relationship time to re-establish, to air their views and rebuild.
DSS has refused to carry on with the meetings.

Relationship between DSS and is very low contact. He and his new wife refused to have DH and I at their wedding. His new wife sent DH some really awful text messages as did DSS. He doesn't hold back!

DSS’s stance since, has been ‘I am over this now, when you forgive and deal with your issues, let me know’.
DH really feels he has no issues, though would like some action towards agreeing to pay the loan back and would like to establish what a future relationship looks like, some boundaries so that relationships on all sides are open and honest.

Father’s Day today, no card but a text. ‘Happy FD, let me know when you are ready to move on’.

What’s next...how does this move forward?
