Kitchen safety - Oven Gloves particularly

I am looking for a set of slimline oven gloves for my elderly mum. She complains that the ones she has are too bulky and finds it difficult to grip hot things to take them out of the oven/microwave.
Any recommendations?

What about those silicone mits would she find those easier?

JemimaTiggywinkle · 06/05/2022 14:15

Lots of people like those silicone oven mitts. I haven’t tried them myself but they look quite grippy.

silicon mitts are good - look for a brand which has sizing so you can get the smallest size possible.

Try steakstones, they do actual gloves with silicone on them making then nice and thin. They are excellent for heat resistance and being gloves are much easier to use.

I like oven gloves that did like normal gloves and have some a bit like this.
