My daughter celebrates her 41st birthday this week . I met one of my very best friends when I was pregnant with her . We went into hospital on the same night and her son is just a few hours older than my daughter . We have been through more children , marriages, divorces and our children’s marriages , together. We now live 40 miles apart and while we only see each other every few months I know she would always be there for me . When we do get together we talk about everything and anything and laugh a lot about the most simple things . I feel sad when I hear young mums on here saying they have no friends as they are such a great support at all stages of your life .
