Is anyone else going through the pain of being estranged from your child

Not me, but hope you're okay OP. Do you want to talk about it? Flowers

CoolCovidCat · 15/01/2021 10:17

What's the reason for the estrangement?

Iblinkedandiamold · 15/01/2021 21:23

Yes OP. Going it through it too right now.

My parents did (with my DB). It caused pain for many years. He did have serious MH problems but really they all experienced pain throughout his lifetime.

@Alicemtaylor I sadly have experience of this due to going through a very acrimonious divorce around 13 years ago. I think, especially mums, you feel like no one else is going through this but they are. My daughter will not have contact but just over a year ago I started seeing my son again and it has made me so so happy. What I would say is once you feel you have done everything possible to have contact then you need to take a step back for your mental health, while making sure your child knows the door is always open. So sorry you're going through this x

I am. My decision. Kills me
