When can a school leaver claim benefits?

DD is 19 and has just taken her A levels (she did an extra year at sixth form college). She's not going to uni but has signed with a couple of agencies looking for work. Atm I'm still getting TC and CB until the end of August.

Does anyone know when she can claim benefits if she doesn't find a job? Obviously I'm aware that if she finds work or claims benefits then mine will stop.

Once the new school year starts. It used to be when schools broke up so we all signed on for the summer holidays.
