23 and 21, both employed (not locally) and have left home, so I'm just about coping with the empty nest. Miss them loads still, but they both show up sporadically often with partners in tow and they still like to holiday with us if we are paying.

Dd1 (26) living at home with mental health problems
Dd2 (23) lives with lovely boyfriend and is about to graduate. Off to Gambia for two weeks then will be working in prisons!
Ds(15) big cuddly lump who should be revising for Standard Grades but mostly just eats and plays Xbox.

I have 3 DC's and 2 DILs, plus a future grandchild!

DD1 (28) has a lovely new wife, lives about 25 miles away and has a job I don't understand, something to do with retail systems/software.
DS (27) has been married to his lovely wife just over a year, lives near DD1 atm but is moving to Rugby in September to start studying to become a Clinical Psychologist. DIL is due to have our first grandchild in January Grin
DD2 (25) is single, a primary school teacher, and lives with us while she saves up for a deposit.

Lots of change in the last few years and more to come!

4 sons here: 37, 34, 31 and 29. No grandchildren yet - come on boys!
One teaches English as a foreign language in China, one is a professional orchestral musician but is currently studying for a PhD in the States, one is a composer and the other runs a database for a software company. They all tower above DW who is only 5'2" and she loves it. They all have a really good relationship with her. My relationship with them is of course different but I love them all dearly. When they were little I just couldn't imagine how it would be when they grew up but here we are. We are very proud of the adults they have become.

DD 29 and DS 27, both living with partners in their own homes (thanks to granny) nearby. Both have good degrees but neither chose to stay in that field so feel that was all a waste of time and money especially for dd as she did not enjoy uni but worked her socks off! Both only got together with partners last couple of years so a lot of loneliness before then. DS's job uncertain owing to working on a specific project. Yep, if only a cuddle and an ice cream could cheer them up still.

ChopsticksandChilliCrab · 28/07/2017 08:42

DD21 is doing an internship in London then has one more year of uni to go. DD18 has finished her A levels and is travelling across Europe with her friends. They are hitting the nightclubs of Berlin tonight...

We still all holiday together and are in touch almost every day. DH and I love their company and are very proud of them both. It will be interesting to see who they settle down with and what they end up doing. Exciting times!

I've got 1. DD1 turned 18 recently and this week has started working (apprenticeship so only on £3.50 an hour, but it's a start).
