Anyone else going through the summer holidays with no outside help and finding it a slog?

I guess the title says it all. We are in Scotland and so are into week 6 of the holidays and today I realised I've not had a minute away from my 2 for the whole summer or a single night out. Except when my dh is home and then it's dinner, bath and bed. I know I could do exercise/evening course etc. but I'm just too buggered at night and at weekend there is always something on eg. kids parties, helping my mum etc.

I feel I'm a complete rat bag but realising this I'm not surprised.

Anyone else never get a break?

Week six here and have always done holidays on my own. It's back to school next week and I'm really sad about it as I love the hols.

Actually now they are going back next Thursday I'm getting sad about it too!!

I'm never happy!

Not read all of this but I'm a childminder too so yes, my own ds (2), 2 more toddlers and 2 'BIG' kids during the hols. I've enjoyed it and the money helps but it is very hard and I'm now looking forward to the end of the hols - actually more because there's 2 kids nearby who we've met at the park during the hols who come and call at my house at least 3 times a day!!! Usually when trying to put one of the toddlers down for a nap or when making lunch etc. It's nice to have someone 'call round' but it's starting to do my heads in (their parents must be well happy to have them out of the house!!)

Hi girls, well I have 9 weeks with my lovely four! 7,6,5 and 11 mths! Have had a few hairy days when you think that tomorrow I will need to buy a wig! Friends have been there to help with the moans and groans. When we went out on the bus because the car was broken it pissed down with rain but just remember it is not forever and at the end of the day you love the little darlings however much mess they made today. It can always be tidied when they move out!
