Riding a bike & learning to swim, what age?

Hi there

My DS is 6.5 yo and it seems that most of his friends can ride their bikes without stabilisers. My DS can't and doesn't seem to interested in trying

Do you think I should be worried or just leave it until he really wants to give it a good try.

Also same for swimming, what age would you say is average for learning to swim?

Thanks

My DS is 4 and can swim confidently on his front and back and is just learning breastroke. He can also bellyflop rather painfully.

He has a balance bike which he loves and I recommend. He has no interest in pedals; in fact he will only pedal backwards and resists all moves to get him on a proper bike.
