So, once DS is at school what sort of childcare is available in the school holidays?

I'm thinking ahead here and haven't got a clue what's available out there.

DS doesn't start school until Sept 11 but I have no idea what I will do when it's school holidays as I work. My mum will be able to help a bit, but I need another option as she isn't getting any younger.

Are there childcare schemes at schools for school age children? Are they open all day?

TIA

People who run after school clubs often do holiday care. Childminders are usually available for holiday only care too. Do you have a local Family Information Service? They should be able to tell you who does what in your area.

see... i didn't even know there was a family information service. Thank you!

Didn't know that childminders can do holidays either.
