Hiya,

I'm just interested. My dd is nearly 17 months and sleeps in a cot, which is fine at the mo.

Just wondered when you moved your dc into a bed from a cot, and how did it go?

Thanx 4 all the advice ladies. I've been thinking about it too much I think and getting too worried! I'm really concerned she'll just get up and wander about In the middle of the night. Or she'll manage to hurt herself if she gets up and tries to climb up or on something. I'm always finding her up on the sofa or trying to climb onto the window sill during the day. It's quite a thought that she might do this while I'm fast asleep! Other people haven't mentioned anything like this though so do they just not do it?

I sleep so lightly and my DDs bedroom is right beside mine that I'd hear her. But she's a good sleeper unless ill anyway. The worst she does is climb into my bed!

Some people I know have put stair gates in their DCs bedroom door just in case

The only thing I did was completely child proof bedroom. I think if the stair gate at the top of your stairs is locked and everything is safe in their room etc, you know you've covered all bases, so to speak?

I've probably missed something in this ramble of mine, feeling sleepy right now. Both my LO's are asleep, so I'm feeling dozy myself now with all this quiet
