travelling with frozen food(bit of a boring post)

im off to see my family for a week, dont drive so were using public transport, want to take food with me for my DS have got tons of frozen food here that i made over the wknd, but didnt think bout how i'l get it there without it defrosting.will take me bout 2.5hrs to get there and food back in the freezer.any ideas?is it gonna be safe?what if it defrosts?theres fish and chicken in the some of the meals? any advice please!!he hates jars since ive been giving him home made! what did i do before MN? feel like i spend my whole life on here asking questions! thanks in advance!

get a freezer bag and pack and ice pack in it (like you would if you was going on a trip out for the day). I would of thought that would be ok and keep it frozen longer.
