My 4 year old has got oral thrush. he has a suspected immunodeficiency and i have heard that thrush can be linked to this. Has anyone even heard of a child this age having thrush? I thought it was a baby thing. Can it be passed on?
He's taking nystan pastilles 4 times a day which is the same dose as an adult??

I guess thats noone then! I was sort of hoping some people had heard of it in healthy children of that age.

Linzoid, DD1 is 4 and she has recently had thrush, although not orally, it is contagious and is recommend that they don't bathe with siblings or parents and that they use separate towels etc until clear, I don't really know what to suggest in the case off DS but carry on using the nystan pastilles a few days after the oral thrush has gone.

Hope this helped
